Wellness examinations and vaccinations:
The doctors and staff at Anclote Animal Hospital strongly believe in preventative medicine. Regular wellness examinations and vaccinations are extremely important for maintaining healthy pets. Learn more about how preventative medicine benefits you and your pet.
Medical care:
With our highly trained staff, we provide complete medical care for your pet. Our in-house laboratory, x-ray, and computerized electrocardiogram (ECG) allow rapid turn around time for diagnostic tests.
Surgical services:
Our hospital is equipped to perform surgical procedures from spays and neuters to complicated orthopedic procedures. If your pet requires general anesthesia, we recommend and provide testing before anesthesia that aids in detection of pre-existing abnormalities your pet may have.
Hospitalization:
Whether your pet is in our hospital due to a routine medical procedure, or because they are recovering from an ailment, they will be housed in our ICU which is located at the center of the hospital. This allows us to closely monitor your pet in an area that is kept quiet, clean, and comfortable to aid in proper healing.
Dentistry:
There are two critical components of your pet’s veterinary dental care: oral examinations and professional dental cleanings. Our veterinarians will evaluate your pet's mouth starting as puppies and kittens for problems related to the deciduous (baby) teeth, missing or extra teeth, swellings and oral development. As your pet ages, your veterinarian will look for developmental anomalies, the accumulation of plaque and tartar, periodontal disease and oral tumors.
Our veterinarians can perform a basic oral examination on patients that are awake. However, a short-lasting anesthetic is required in order to provide a complete and thorough examination as well as a professional dental cleaning. Boarding:
We have a staff dedicated to keeping your pet clean, comfortable, and loved while vacationing at our home away from yours. We offer one on one play 3-4 times a day in our large exercise area. Cats are in a separate area where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. We provide plenty of toys and bedding while your pet stays with us. All of our guests are fed a high quality, easily digestable diet. If you pet requires a special diet or medication while in our care please bring these items with you. Vaccinations must be on file and current. In effort to keep our facility and your pet flea and tick free we apply Frontline on arrival. If you have Advantix or Frontline you may bring yours for us to apply at time of arrival.
Grooming:
Whether your cat needs a bath, or your Standard Poodle needs a full cut, call us at Anclote Animal Hospital to schedule an appointment with our full-service groomer.
